Probably one of the original Stuarts double traps, very similar to others on the market at the time. These traps are made from heavy cast iron, using a strong spring to throw single or double standards, midis and minis. As with all my traps it’s been stripped and rebuilt to ‘club’ standard although it is also suitable for home use.The trap sits on a basic three piece fold away frame with new nuts, bolts and washers, it’s not the best base I’ve ever seen and not my choice as a trap mounting point but it does work when it’s spiked into the ground.It isn’t very often I see a Stuart with this type of spring, wound from the same heavy wire as usual but with no pre-load so it is a bit softer which suits this arrangement of trap and base. Overall this is an older trap but there isn’t much wear at all, the rubber rails are good and it will make someone a lovely trap that doesn’t take up any space in the shed.£85 (+£15 delivery)
