One of the finest Bowman seated traps I’ve had through the workshop, acquired from a small group of guns who knew how to look after their traps. I have rebuilt the outfit with a new spring and link on the rabbit trap and re-upholstered the seat. None of this was absolutely necessary but probably best for a trap of this calibre and peace of mind for the new owner. Both rubber drive rails look to be new replacements, the rest of the parts including sprung plates are original with very little evidence of over- or misuse. The ‘bird’ trap is the usual Bowman Junior fitted to a fully adjustable elevating plate locked in place with a ratcheting lever while the ‘rabbit’ trap has adjustable spring tension, trigger release, an over-centre limiter and safety guard. Fitted to the rabbit is a deeper sprung plate to accomodate manual and auto rabbit clays, there’s also a movable stop that can be used to lengthen the clay before it touches to ground or throw loopers. I’m really pleased with this piece of equipment, Bowman knew what they were doing when the trap was designed because it is so versatile – any club or group would find this an easy trap to set up as a single stand or a private owner would have hours of fun at half the price of a new one!£390 (+£25 delivery) SOLD
