This is a home built base to mount both a Bowman rabbit and Junior to make a ‘Fur and Feather’ trap, it’s like the original ‘kneeling’ design but heavier with stronger box section. The traps were in a large batch from a club that kept many Bowmans back as spares so as such they haven’t had a tremendous amount of use but the rabbit in particular does show signs of being outdoors, i.e. lack of original paint, mechanically both are sound. The Junior sits on the usual elevating base to give a variety of height to your bird while the rabbit is a rear trigger release item with rubber rebound pad on the link and integral safety cover. Each trap has new rubber strips, the Junior has a new stainless teal clip and the rabbit has a low rubber rail and rabbit clip to throw the stronger rolling clays, if you want to throw ordinary clays I would be happy to drill another set of holes and supply a different clip for you to throw standards. At some time in it’s life the nut at the top of the rabbit main shaft had been over tightened a bit so for my peace of mind it’s been changed for a new one. Normally there are two or three large spikes to stop the trap moving in use but this one has holes underneath and I’ll supply some 50mm bolts to secure it to a pallet or something. Overall the outfit does look a bit tatty but it’s a rather nice pair of traps for a stand.£270 (+£25 delivery)
