This is a Bowman Markham Standard trap which is seen in a few variations across many smaller gun clubs, designed to throw singles or pairs of standards, midis and minis. The trap came to me as completely original but with one small but vital fault. For some unknown reason the nut on the main shaft had been cross-threaded so as far as I’m concerned it wasn’t up to scratch and I’ve built a new shaft. The trap is all original apart from that shaft, the throwing arm and plate are clean and straight, the rubber rail has minor wear on the first end and I’ve added a new stainless steel teal clip. The Markham is an easy to use and versatile trap either just for practice or to put out some nice target(s) on a Sporting stand.There isn’t a base with the trap as it’s easy enough to mount to most surfaces or a tilt base, I’ll also send you some nuts and bolts. This is a nice intermediate trap which would be ideal for a junior operator to learn on although it is capable of putting out some challenging clays.
